Rogero/Multiman Backup Manager On Waninkoko/KMEAW 3.55 CFW
[Last Updated: 16/03/2011 @ 10:00]
EDIT: 12/02/11 A couple days back, Sony patched the DNS bypass now forcing users to update to 3.56 if you want to go online.
Since then, devs have been looking at getting backup managers to launch successfully and looking to patch LV2.
Rogero Backup Manager, in conjunction with Waninkoko’s (of Wii hacks fame) allows this to run for many, but not all, games.
EDIT: Multiman also works – it’s the main one I use now. KMEAW and WutangRZA CFW is reported to allow their use also but I have not tested these as I am happy with Waninkoko. He has released V2 but I am yet to update to that.
EDIT 2: Currently using Rogero now as KMEAW allows the new online bypass method and Multiman doesn’t run (or I haven’t found a way to get it working) on Waninkoko (which I had updated to V2 since the last update).
EDIT 3: This blog post is no longer being updated. Please check here for more details.
This list will be a compilation of what I’ve found works and what doesn’t, to help others out there as well as keep a record for myself. I am using an EU PS3 Slim – results may vary based on different regions. Recent games will be at the bottom of each list.
Tony Hawk: Shred (need board to play)
Assassins Creed II (Previously wasn’t working but for some reason it’s now running…)
Two Worlds II (must be on internal HDD otherwise it tells you the game data is corrupt)
Grand Theft Auto IV (boots but loading screen loops and goes dim)
ModNation Racers (crashes on loading screen)
Vampire Rain: Altered Species (tries to install game data and freezes on 5-6%)
I will update this as often as I can with any further titles (working or not working).
