DC 52
After a tough old slog daily organising my digital comic library on ComicRack, I have now started to actually READ some of my collection. For the most part, I have been reading DC 52. I’m getting about 1-2 of the series read a day on average but the further I get into the series the more I realise that I know hardly anything of the DC series seeing as I have read none of the books on the run up to 52.
The main thing is the back story and some characters I’ve heard of but don’t know how they tie into the DC universe. So I will probably end up re-reading this series once I’ve gone through the back issues for the other series in as chronological an order as possible.
Thanks to ComicRack I’ve got a few reading lists downloaded to introduce some decorum to the library but I will probably be spending a lot of time checking out comic sites to create my own reading lists to get the story arcs and series in order to get a nice, flowing reading experience.
On the whole, however, I am loving the 52 series and once that’s done I’m not sure if I will read The New 52 or go back and read from the beginning of the DC series. Or I might skip to Dark Horse or Marvel.
With a library currently sitting at 13,383 comics (194.65GB) I’m spoilt for choice. But also overwhelmed. Like the time I first fired up GTA IV and didn’t know where to begin based on the openness of Liberty City and variety of things to do.
